Stitch and Tear is a stabiliser used for embroidery, it's often used to stabilise a light or flimsy fabric while embroidering on it to prevent puckering and too much movement in the fabric.
The sttich and tear is placed on the back of the fabric that will be embroidered on. After the embroidery is finished the stitch and tear easily rips off without disrupting the threads.
