Back in the 1950s many men of the Aran Islands were often fishermen by trade. To tackle the cold, harsh conditions of the sea they would wear hand knitted Aran style jumpers to keep them warm. This fabric is reminiscent of this unique style of hand knit. It is soft, insulating, thick and durable coming in a range of vibrant and muted colours.
